This enables us to operate in steep terrain on the frozen ground with the studs holding us in place safely. Another bonus is being able to work in the soft, marshy areas.
We use winter mulching as a tool so that when the ground freezes, we can safely operate in those otherwise soft areas. The sub-zero temperatures help freeze the moisture in the trees and brush, and they actually break up nicely because they're frozen.
